P&C Meeting Update
The minutes from last week's 5 May P&C meeting will be available on the GRPS website by the end of this week. It was a very productive meeting, so thank you to everyone who attended.
Firstly, please help me welcome our 2025 GRPS Grounds Committee lead, Aleesha Aboud.
Secondly, I am happy to announce that monies raised and generously donated by GRPS parents and community over the years, have been approved to fund:
- New literary and decodable readers for Stage 1 students (in Kindergarten through to Year 2);
- New classroom desktops;
- New and additional laptops for students in Years 2 to 6, putting more laptops in the hands of our students!
Plus, - Costumes and makeup for our Year 3-6 Wakakirri Dance performers.
Thank you for your continuing support.

Calling the GRPS Community. Can you lend a hand to help clean, repair and beautify our school grounds?
When: Sunday 1 June, 9am - midday
Where: GRPS grounds
Who is invited: The entire GRPS community is welcome!
How can you help: We have a range of tasks to get through. Your class ambassador will share the volunteer sign-up sheet next week so have a think about how you can help. We need volunteers to help pick up rubbish, weed the gardens, hedge the taller plants, scatter the massive pile of mulch, patch and paint peeling paint on walls, high pressure clean sandstone and stairs, plus sand and varnish some of the wooden benches.
What do you need to bring: Bring any equipment you'll need to complete the task, like high pressure water cleaners, paint brushes, hedging shears and trimmers, gardening tools, wheelbarrows etc. Also, don't forget to bring your gloves, a hat and water.
Get involved, come along and help us to look after our school grounds.
