Ready, Set, Shine: Welcome to Term 4!
I hope everyone had a restful and enjoyable break, ready to embrace the exciting opportunities this final term of the year will bring. Term 4 is always a bustling time filled with learning, growth, and memorable moments as we work towards finishing the year strong. I encourage all students, staff, and families to stay engaged, motivated, and supportive of one another as we navigate through the term’s activities, events, and learning goals. Together, let’s make this term a positive and successful conclusion to the school year.
Thank you for your ongoing commitment and enthusiasm. I look forward to seeing our school community thrive in the coming weeks.
Celebrating Our GRPS Students’ Success in the Public Speaking Finals!
We are incredibly proud to announce that our GRPS students performed exceptionally well at the Metropolitan South and Metro South West Public Speaking Network Finals held on Tuesday at Ultimo Public School. Our talented representatives were Arjun P (ES1), Margaret W (Stage 1), Lucia L (Stage 2), and Jasper H (Stage 3).
A special congratulations to Arjun, who placed 2nd in ES1; Lucia, who took out 1st place in Stage 2; and Jasper, who achieved an impressive 2nd place in Stage 3. Margaret also delivered a confident and engaging speech, showcasing great skill and enthusiasm.
We wish Lucia all the best as she advances to compete in the Metropolitan South and Metropolitan South West Public Speaking Competition Grand Final in mid-November 2025. Well done to all our students for their outstanding dedication and for proudly representing GRPS with such distinction!
A Day to Cherish: Welcoming Grandparents and Special Friends
We are also excited to welcome our grandparents and special friends to school this Monday, 27 October for our Grandparents and Special Friends Day. It’s a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the valued role they play in our students’ lives and to share in the joy of learning together. We look forward to a day filled with laughter, connection, and special memories as our school community comes together across generations. Thank you to everyone who helps make this day so meaningful! Please see the poster below for all details.
Safety First: Crossing Supervisors May Not Always Be Present
Ensuring the safety of our students is our highest priority. While we are grateful to have Martin and his replacement supervising the pedestrian crossing, parents and carers are reminded not to rely solely on their presence at all times. Unfortunately, the school is not always notified in advance if Martin or his replacement will be unavailable. For this reason, we ask families to remain vigilant and to actively supervise their children when crossing the road to help keep everyone safe. Thank you for your understanding and commitment to safety in our school community.
Save the Date: Annual Recognition Day!
Our Annual Recognition Day for Kindergarten to Year 6 will take place on Monday, 15 December from 9:45am to 11:30am. Please mark your calendars and join us as we celebrate the wonderful achievements of our students. Further details will be shared soon—we look forward to seeing you there!
Honouring Our Educators: World Teachers’ Day at Glenmore Road PS
World Teachers’ Day in NSW is a special opportunity to recognise and celebrate the incredible dedication and contributions of primary, secondary, and early childhood teachers across our schools. At Glenmore Road Public School, we are proud to acknowledge the passion, commitment, and hard work our teachers bring every day to fostering student learning and growth. This year, World Teachers’ Day will be celebrated in NSW on Friday, 31 October 2025. We invite our Glenmore Road Public School community—students, families, and staff—to join us in showing appreciation for our wonderful educators by sharing messages of thanks, organising special activities, or simply taking a moment to recognise the positive impact our teachers have on the lives of our students. Together, let’s honour the educators who inspire and empower the future generations of Glenmore Rd PS

All Welcome
Halloween at Cottage
With Halloween just around the corner, don't forget to stop by Cottage while you're out Trick-or-Treating—we’ll be handing out sweets and can’t wait to see all the creative costumes!
For those with bookings at Cottage on Halloween, we’ve got a fun-filled day of games, treats, and craft activities planned to celebrate the spooky season so no one will be left out.
Booking Children In
A friendly reminder to all parents to please ensure children are booked in before attending. This helps us maintain an appropriate staff-to-child ratio for safety and supervision. Additionally, if you know you'll need a specific session, we encourage you to make your booking as early as possible. This gives us time to arrange additional educators if needed and ensures that everyone who needs Cottage can do so!
Spring is in the air!
If you’ve noticed a beautiful burst of colour around the Cottage, it’s all thanks to the Friday ASC gang! It’s been wonderful to see them put all the knowledge they’ve gained from Greenhouse Club into action, actively contributing to and enriching their environment.
