As we observe SASS (School Administrative and Support Staff) Recognition Week, I want to take a moment to celebrate and acknowledge the invaluable contributions of our School Administrative and Support Staff. Their dedication, professionalism, and unwavering support are the backbone of our school’s daily operations and play a vital role in creating a positive and effective learning environment for our students.
This week offers us a special opportunity to thank our non-teaching staff members for their hard work behind the scenes- from managing administrative tasks to supporting student wellbeing and maintaining our facilities. Their commitment ensures that our school runs smoothly and that our students receive the best possible educational experience.
Please join me in recognising and appreciating the vital role our SASS team plays in our school community, yesterday we hosted a lunch to recognise and celebrate how valuable they are at GRPS. Their efforts truly make a difference every day.

Congratulations to Rose H in Year 1 for being selected as one of the winners of the Truck Art Competition! Rose’s creative entry promoting the important message "Food waste goes in the green bin" truly stood out. Well done, Rose, on your fantastic achievement and for helping to raise awareness about food waste recycling!
We would like to inform families that formal three-way conferences have not been scheduled for this term. However, parents and carers are always welcome to make an appointment with their child’s classroom teacher if they wish to discuss their child’s progress or have any questions.
Our teachers are committed to supporting every student and are available to meet with families throughout the year. We value your involvement and encourage open communication at all times.
We plan to reinstate formal three-way conferences next year, in Terms 1 and 3, to provide dedicated opportunities for students, teachers, and families to connect and share learning progress.
Thank you for your understanding and for your ongoing partnership in your child’s education.
Enrolments Now Open for 2026 School StartersIf your child is starting school next year, we are excited to announce that enrolments are now open. To secure your child’s place, please visit our school website and complete the online enrolment form as soon as possible. This helps our team to begin planning for the upcoming school year and ensures a smooth transition for your child.
If your family does not live within our school's local intake area, you can still apply by completing an out-of-area enrolment form available on the website. Please note that out-of-area applications are considered based on available space and specific criteria, so early submission is highly recommended.
Once your enrolment form is submitted, our staff will get in touch to arrange a pre-enrolment meeting. This meeting is an opportunity for you and your child to meet our team, ask any questions you may have, and discuss the enrolment process and what to expect in the first year of school.
We look forward to welcoming our newest students and families to our school community in 2026 and supporting them on their exciting learning journey!
If you have any questions or need assistance with the enrolment process, please don’t hesitate to contact the school office or visit our website for more information.

Spring Has Sprung – Let’s Get Planting!
Our Term 3 Working Bee is happening on Sunday 14th September, and we’d love some helping hands. Spring is the perfect time to roll up your sleeves and get into the garden!
We’ll be:
-
Planting new greenery
-
Feeding the gardens with fertiliser
-
Tackling school clean-up jobs (high-pressure cleaning, wall patching & paint touch-ups)
If you can spare a little time for some light outdoor work (and hopefully some sunshine ☀️between 9:30-noon on Sunday 14th, sign up here: volunteersignup.org/DCF8M.
We’re also raising funds for our planting budget so we can add even more life to our school grounds at the Working Bee. Every contribution helps!
