I am thrilled to share that Term 1 has been a wonderful success, filled with numerous learning opportunities for our students. Our dedicated staff has worked tirelessly to create engaging lessons that inspire curiosity and foster a love for learning.
In addition to our academic achievements, many extracurricular activities have taken place, allowing students to explore their interests and talents outside the classroom.
It has truly been a fantastic start to the year.
We appreciate your continued support and look forward to an exciting Term 2 ahead!
Last Monday I thoroughly enjoyed a morning tea with students who have recently received a PBL (Positive Behaviour to Learning) Award recognising their hard work and dedication at school and highlighting their achievements.
Easter Hat & Pedlars Parade
Yesterday's Easter Hat Parade and Pedlars Parade were absolute highlights of our school calendar! The vibrant displays of creativity and enthusiasm from our students truly brought the event to life.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone involved in making this occasion a success—from our dedicated staff to the supportive parents. The joy on the students' faces was priceless, and their excitement was contagious.
We look forward to more wonderful events like this in the future!
We appreciate your cooperation in ensuring a safe and secure environment for all our students.
Thank you for your understanding and support!
School LunchesI recently had a productive meeting with Naomi from Lunchbots, where we discussed the valuable feedback I have received from many of you. We are incredibly grateful for the service she provides to our students, ensuring they have access to nutritious and delicious meals.
Naomi has included some helpful information below, along with her contact details for any further inquiries you may have.
Your input is crucial in helping us create the best possible experience for our students, and we appreciate your continued engagement.

Sydney South Debating
Two of the Glenmore Road debating teams traveled to Vaucluse Public School to debate against Coogee Public School. Both of our teams were the affirmative. The topic for the Seniors was ‘Parents should choose their child’s friends’, and the Junior’s topic was ‘Children should get money for chores’.

Thank You to Our Wonderful Kindy Families!
We’ve absolutely loved welcoming all our new Kindies this term – it’s been such a joy getting to know each and every one of you!
A quick reminder to Kindy parents: there are only 2 days left to use your two free Cottage sessions, which are only valid for Term 1. If you’d like to use them before the term ends, just get in touch at admin@thecottageoshc.org.
If your child already has bookings and hasn’t used both free sessions, we’re happy to apply the discount – just let us know!
Vacation Care Starts Next Week
Wow, what a turn-out! This upcoming Vacation Care is looking to be A M A Z I N G.
If you haven’t booked in yet, do not fret. You can add in your dates of choice all throughout the holidays – subject to availability, of course!
As we’ve talked about our awesome incursions and excursions, here’s some more info about our Cottage Classics!
Trike Town (17/04) - Bring your bike or scooter and ride through our mini Cottage city! Kids will earn their first license, take on fun jobs, and keep the town buzzing with action and adventure. This day combines imagination with getting active. If your child doesn’t have a scooter/bike to bring, that’s okay! There are plenty of Trike Town activities to fill up the day.
(Pirate) Scavenger Hunt (15/04) – The kids will be put in teams to complete various challenges across the 7 seas, and search for their much-desired treasure! A day full of problem-solving, teamwork and friendly competition.
Apocalypse Day (16/04) – This epic game of tag will have kids racing to be the Last Survivor (the final untipped player) or the Best Zombie (bring your best spooky acting skills!). Packed with energy and fun, this newer addition to the Cottage lineup has quickly become a crowd favourite!
Fair Day (28/04) – The Cottage meets carnival marketplace! Children set up and run their own stalls, play games, win tickets and choose their prizes at the very end.
Nerf Mania (29/04) –The Cottage kids of all ages form 4 giant teams, paint and assemble their bases, strategise, form (and break) alliances, and work together to win!

But in the meantime, we have displayed some of the works in the library windows for everyone to enjoy. And here is a small sample ...
